We’d like to say a massive well done to our Crazy Cats team for successfully completing the 30 mile Mendip Challenge. It is a beast of a course with nearly 1400m of elevation on what turned out to be one of the hottest days of 2018!
The team started out from Market Place Square in Wells just before 8.00am and headed off to Wookey Hole, then to up to Priddy, down to Draycott, up, down, and up again to the beautiful Black Rock in Cheddar Gorge, then up through the woods to Tynings Farm, a drop down into Shipham, then on to King’s Wood in Winscombe, up Crooks Peak then down to Loxton, up again to the Roman Road then down to Bleadon, all that was left after that was a final 2 miles to Uphill, which to Ali’s dismay was pretty much up hill! Arriving at the finish line at Westhaven School at 3.15pm, 7 minutes inside their target time of 7 ½ hours.
There’s still plenty of time to make a donation!
