Teenagers from Cheddar will be supporting local rock band Zuma to raise money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance in memory of Elliot Davies.
The youngsters who are all black belts formed the Tae Kwon-Do All Stars in memory of their fellow student Elliot Davies, who was tragically killed by a car two years ago.
They have been friends for many years and all share a love of music. Their rock set will appeal to all ages with a combination of classic and modern songs.
George Cox is the youngest member of the band and is playing the drums. The other accomplished musicians are Pete Felton on lead guitar and Adam Kelly on rhythm guitar. Fronting the band are vocalists Lauren Male and Jenni Cox.
This gig is the brainchild of Zuma’s lead guitarist Gary Saunders, who has been working closely with the youngsters to help get them ready to face the public. Gary said “It’s all about the kids really. They’ve all been working very hard and sound great. I’m very proud of them to be honest.
Gary has also persuaded Elliot’s older brother Liam to join them! Liam, who is a talented pianist, will be joining the set for a couple of songs.
Tickets cost just £5 each or £15 for a family ticket, and are available in Cheddar from Sharon Cox on 01934 712543, and Rex Male at Cheddar Football Club on 07917 133290, and in Portishead from Sophie Pasley on 07939 317620.
Thanks for a great night on Saturday. Zuma, The TKD all stars, and Liam were all really impressive. You rocked!
